Hopefully this continues I really liked this pick but figured it might take him a year or 2 to develop

Amazing. They may not activate him this year because they have limited activated slots. So he's ready most of the year and unavailable. That means no development and no seeing what he can do. Wasted year. Duggan replaced Greenlaw and Bethune's still on the roster. Perhaps a losing team may want to tap into his potential with a low draft pick. Same with Bethune.

They will give him his 21-day window to practice but I believe it will come after the bye week, so they have a better idea how many slots are left. The current numbers say he won't be activated but maybe that changes later down the road,

my hope when Brock is fully in his prime, which I think he's just entering, that he's a mixture of Brees and Brady. Muhahahah he has a lot of traits the both of them had in their playing days.

I agree that Brock has those Brady traits. Just give Brock the same quality defense that Brady had, and who knows, maybe Brock can get more than one 🏆 win in his football career.

P.s. Drew played till he was 41 years old. I wonder how long can Brock play today. Drew had his arm torn off by John Lynch. Brock's injury wasn't that bad as Brees's.

This is a wild play for a guy that's 6'5". You typically don't see really tall stack LBs because they struggle with getting low and breaking down to tackle, but Dugger does it with ease.

going for the Freddy punch

He had a fantastic game. That last stop on JSN screen was very impressive.

I love Drew Brees. I've always compared Brock and Drew. Its just that I think Brock is better than Drew.

Brees had 5 seasons with over 5000 yards. 12 with over 4000. He had 123 regular season games with over 300 yards passing. He led them to a SB win. His receivewrs were Marques Colston, Michael Thomas and Jimmy Graham (TE). Good but certainly not great. Purdy has a ways to go before he matches those numbers. He has better talent than Brees had and a good coach so he'll have a great career but Brees with 80K yards and 20 years in the league may be out of reach.

Heh, Purdy's won more games in Brock's first five years than Brees in his first five years.

Massive fumble by the front office should have kept Skyy Moore and cut this guy 3rd year and he looks completely lost

I complained all offseason about how the 49ers had zero impact players under 25 years old on the roster. Well, it looks like they've got TWO now in Gracen Halton and Jaden Dugger. John Lynch has got to be riding high with this draft class right because it looks like he's added some guys that could become the next generation of star Niners. Salute to you, Mr. Lynch.

A #53 flying around making plays just feels right for the 49ers

It would be great, but I highly doubt it....

Yeah. I don't know who's bad offense vs a good defense will put up enough points to win. If PS2 was playing I might give the Broncos the edge but I think JSN can have success tonight.

Agree 💯%, and I hope John Lynch's contract has been renewed. He's done an excellent job since Adam Peters left, in my opinion.

Yes to white no to lynch. We can do better.

Its not whether we can find a better scouting and drafting talent than John Lynch, its whether we can find a guy that can work with Kyle Shanahan. Kyle is an offensive mastermind, and with John working with Raheem, and both (John and Raheem) having had a long football relationship together - I don't think bringing in a new guy without that relationship and football knowledge (both know the Tampa Two inside and out) would be better than just extending John.

This last years draft is looking good. I dont think that was luck, I think it was becuase Kyle trusts John and John knows what Raheem needs for his defenses to work.

Since we are signing guys off the street I assume he isn't ready or they just don't want to use one of the 8 IR return designations for him. Looking like another early round bust.

To our fan bases credit; I think it's all fan bases that are full of impatient people. That's the world we live in now in general; instant results I want it now.
