this angle is even better. What an impressive rep from young Jaden Dugger.

The most impressive part of this rush is how he is able to torque himself at 6'5" around the corner and step through with that inside foot towards the QB. This guy has legitimate big time edge rushing potential.

It would be great if he can bolster the edge rusher position along with Romello. I don't know if John got lucky or is it because Raheem Morris is in the house, but our defensive draft in 2026 is looking quite impressive.

KJ Wright was banging the table for Dugger apparently too

Could just be in spite of all the s**t talking (about the 2026 draft class and a lot of other stuff) this regime just had their best overall draft class.

People should know when to give props without talking s**t overtly or implicitly.

or just admit when theyre wrong instead of "they just got lucky" easier to blame then just admit you were wrong
Let me suggest they draft another LB, 3rd round or later. Nobody knows how Martin will turn out. Bethune hasn't broken into the starting unit and Greenlaw has previous injury issues. Wallow/Gifford are fringe players. I'd take advantage of KJ and the Morris ability to spot talent and develop it.
Dugger was honestly incredible in this game. It's not an easy task to go from on the line of scrimmage as a Sam LB to a stack Will LB on the fly, but he made it look easy. The 49ers have to be pumped out of their minds to see how good Dugger is playing. This guy could really grow into a special player.

This is a wild play for a guy that's 6'5". You typically don't see really tall stack LBs because they struggle with getting low and breaking down to tackle, but Dugger does it with ease.

going for the Freddy punch

A #53 flying around making plays just feels right for the 49ers

He had a fantastic game. That last stop on JSN screen was very impressive.
Hopefully this continues I really liked this pick but figured it might take him a year or 2 to develop
The Rookie class has added a lot of quality minutes so far this season. Minus Stribling and for the most part Thompson.

Do you think WILL is his eventual position? If he becomes a mainstay, having a 6'5 Hook zone defender is going to make it difficult targeting in-breaking intermediate routes.

I don't see why not. Hell, he could easily be Fred's future replacement at Mike if he's got the study and preparation, communication and leadership qualities for it.

I mean the guy's ceiling is unlimited. He's just a football player. Elite athlete and excelling at every single spot on the field. His edge rush rep was excellent; his stack play is excellent. I feel like he could be a Kyle Van Noy type that plays all over the box. He needs the right DC for that, tho. He's got him right now in Morris.

Morris has been a revelation. I sure hope he's Kyle's ride or die DC.
