Darnold won a superbowl like Trent Dilfee won a superbowl...it happens.

And why couldn't Jimmy G and Purdy do the same? They both had 10pt leads I believe... or at least were leading in the 4th QTR. Couldn't make some passes to extend drives a few times to put the game away?

It's been proven Jimmy G is a backup and that Kyle supermaxed his ability. With Brock, there was never a 4th quarter 10 point lead. Did he lead at some point, sure. But this idea of just extending a few drives with some passes to put a one score game away is unrealistic. If it were that simple, there would be no point in playing anything out. Now a 10 point 4th quarter lead- considering they were going score for score by then, I don't think Brock surrenders that lead with only a quarter to go.

Id love to see LT play in this era. Personally I think he would be average

I think he'd hit a QB so hard they'd turn to dust, especially these old QB's. He'll be drugged up doing it, but he'd be the most feared man on the field if he played today. He'd literally kill someone on the field.

When I watch old LT tape he's getting one on ones, being left alone with TEs and RBs or just a complete lack of athleticism or fundamentals from tackles/guards.

He was going up against what was the norm for the time. Tackles are literally better at what they do now because of LT. To just project him forward without him having the same advantages isn't a serious comparison.
