You actually think that's a smart trade? We wouldn't even be able to offer Bryant a QO to recoup a draftpick.

We could extend him, right?

The point is, I hate the idea of most players being "untouchable." And while this tweet doesnt explicitly state that Bart is untouchable, it implies that he is off the market.
SWH doesn't trust Farhan? Lmfao
Also, I'm not buying that Giants don't want to trade Bart. Deadline is Friday. Sounds like a leverage play.

Boras clients rarely ever sign in season extensions.

Do I trust him? Yes. Do I worship the ground he walks on and think that he can do no wrong like you appear to? Absolutely not.

OK. Change the word extend to re-sign.

Easier said than done. I have no doubt Boras will drag out negotiations on Bryant well into late January or February like he typically does with his top clients.

Sorry. I always forget about that forum. Replied.

Completely disagree. Hitters can learn how to use the entire field . And it certainly doesnt take away the integrity of the game.

Thats not how the game is taught anymore though.
kris bryant a giant yet??

Maybe it should be. But that isnt the point. Really it comes down to the hitters being able to adjust to what the defense gives them.

In basketball, the defense can play zone, man to man, a box and 1, and just about anything in order to stop an opposing team's star and their opponents offense. The other team needs to figure out what needs to be done to overcome the defense.

In baseball you can shift or not shift, bunt or not bunt, hit the other way or choose to be stubborn and pull everything. I dont want to mandate where players can stand or how they defend.

I am 100% against trading Bart for Bryant for the main reason that you simply cannot guarantee that he will resign with the Giants and risk losing your #2 prospect for a 2 month rental. It just makes no sense. As has been pointed out, Boras is Bryant's agent and he is going to go to the team that offers the most money.

Now, if you throw in Kimbrel in the deal thats a different story!
