You actually think that's a smart trade? We wouldn't even be able to offer Bryant a QO to recoup a draftpick.
We could extend him, right?
The point is, I hate the idea of most players being "untouchable." And while this tweet doesnt explicitly state that Bart is untouchable, it implies that he is off the market.
Boras clients rarely ever sign in season extensions.
OK. Change the word extend to re-sign.
I am 100% against trading Bart for Bryant for the main reason that you simply cannot guarantee that he will resign with the Giants and risk losing your #2 prospect for a 2 month rental. It just makes no sense. As has been pointed out, Boras is Bryant's agent and he is going to go to the team that offers the most money.
Now, if you throw in Kimbrel in the deal thats a different story!
kris bryant would garentee a world series win tho

I was moreso banging my head about any trade involving Bart being off the table than not wanting to trade Bart for Bryant. I totally get, and possibly agree with the hesitation. But to your point, packaging Bart and a couple others for Bryant and Kimbrel is a different story. But it appears that idea has been shut down, which I disagree with.

I dunno man, A's look pretty loose today after getting that toxic presence out of the clubhouse

I wouldn't trade Bart for Bryant and I'm not a Bart fan. Because he's a rental, but more importantly, adding Bryant doesn't fix the biggest issues on the team. So that makes it f**king stupid.

Also, John, one of my big issues is the shift isn't in college and the minors so all your players grow up hitting a certain way and then those hits are no longer hits.

Fair point but I just think good hitters can adjust and at least be able to bunt the damn ball for a hit

Seriously, Gallo is just more icing on a cake that doesn't need it. They need guys who who can hit for average like a lemahieu and pitching. It's homerun or nothing for them

The Yankees all or nothing power is going to get worked by playoff pitching in October.

BS, Taylor shouldn't even be on the bases. He struck out.
