If there is some promising news to this season (and there is), it's not in SF, but further south in San Jose. The Single-A Giants won the first half of the California League, and appear poised to win the second half. They need one more win out of the six final games of the season in Fresno to win the second half of the California League. Fresno would need to win all six games to snatch the crown away from the Giants. This is highly unlikely. Not impossible, just unlikely.
Buster Posey's drafts have stocked this team with an excellent amount of promising talent. They all aren't going to arrive in San Francisco by tomorrow. Not even next year. But, in the next 2-3 years, some of them may begin to sniff the MLB level. There is some talent down there. You can see it. The cupboard is not bare.
Unfortunately, the Dodgers (Ontario) are just as stocked. I watched them beat up on the Stockton Ports (A's) last Wednesday. The Tower Buzzers delivered another drubbing last night at Banner Island Ballpark in Stockton. The Dodgers have themselves a first baseman (Bryan Andrade) who smacks the ball like he's the second coming of Barry Bonds.

I hate to be negative, but the SJ Giants have won 2 titles in the past 5 years, and were in 4 total Championship Series in the past 11 years. And those havent really amounted to anything in terms of the big club.
True, but negative.Originally posted by billbird2111:

This is extremely negative.True, but negative.
But these teams did provide some talent. The 2019 roster was stocked with the likes of Joey Bart, Camilo Doval, plus Heliot Ramos.

and look what happened after we got devers we went into the tank, most meaningless 30 HR in MLB history not a single homer meant jack; he had a bad attitude in boston and here also, then you factor him being fat, and not running or playing the field. he's not worth even half what we are paying him let alone the prospects we gave

So somehow adding a star player to the roster, who has put up star numbers since he got here, is the cause for our downfall? When was his bad attitude here? Since when was he fat? What a derp-tastic take.
Giants have the worst record in baseball since the Rafael Devers trade 😬 pic.twitter.com/mXzy4dIA1H
