Great to see the Giants entering "better lucky than good" stretch. Otherwise, nothing much had changed. The pitching is as good as it had been when they were losing and the hitting is a token better than it had been due to a couple of timely hits that didn't waste a very good pitching performance. Just beware that the luck is very unstable feature, hope it doesn't but realistically speaking may change just like that.

Remarkable that a tall hitter like him that hits a lot of HRs could be leading all hitters in BA. He strikes out quite a bit as well so when he makes contact an amazing number of those balls are hits.
Imagine if we could have gotten him to sign in SF. He would probably hit a few less HRs but he would get more doubles and triples in right center.
If there were two players that were worth overpaying for, it was Judge and Ohtani.
Maybe some others too but those 2 would be at the top of the list. I'd be more inclined to pay Judge. He's a better hitter than Ohtani plus he bats RH. Ohtani is valuable because he can pitch but so far he hasn't been able to do that this season. That's his downside. Like all pitchers he had arm issues and has missed one full season and half of another. Without his pitching his value is lower.

I get you aren't an optimistic person, but not everything about those four games is "lucky". The offense is far from great, but the pitching is damn good. The giants are 38-28 and are +45 run differential. You post like this is the worst team in baseball on every single post.

Wins are wins and the Giants aren't going to bludgeon any teams. The only problem with one run wins is they can easily go the other way and become one run losses. I expected the Dodgers to run away with the title but thye've been hammered with injuries. Mostly to the pitching staff. That's allowed the Giants to stay close to them.

Like 2010, we just need to find our Cody Ross.

Our Cody Ross may already be on the team. If Adames can awake from his slumber it would be a huge boost to the offense. Bailey isn't a great hitter but he certainly can hit better than he's been showing. Yaz is due for a bounce back after his slump.
The key is trying to get more than one or two players hitting at the same time. It seems like when a couple are hot the rest are struggling. We've seen Lee, Chapman, Ramos, Yaz and Flores all have hot streaks but never at the same time.

Unfortunately, the Bailey we have seen this year is the Bailey we have seen in both his two big league seasons from July on. Bailey has been an average or even an above average hitter in May and June, and then completely fallen apart in the last three months of the season. This year, he had a horrendous May and hasnt done much better in June. Hopefully the opposite of his first two seasons happens this year, but I am not optimistic at all.

Well Lee is still injured so it might be just two runs.
