that walkoff homer was all luck also!

Bro, are you okay? Lol
I am very much OK. Apparently, I just missed that great offensive explosion in the winning streak, I guess.

I get you aren't an optimistic person, but not everything about those four games is "lucky". The offense is far from great, but the pitching is damn good. The giants are 38-28 and are +45 run differential. You post like this is the worst team in baseball on every single post.

Wins are wins and the Giants aren't going to bludgeon any teams. The only problem with one run wins is they can easily go the other way and become one run losses. I expected the Dodgers to run away with the title but thye've been hammered with injuries. Mostly to the pitching staff. That's allowed the Giants to stay close to them.

Like 2010, we just need to find our Cody Ross.

on the KNBR today they mentioned Ryan O'Hearn.

I herd that . I didn't know much about him so I looked up his stats. He's never hit more than 15 HRs in a season. He has 9 so far this year. Batting .316. Not bad but he's playing in a good hitters park. The HR total would probably come down to around 10 or 12 per year. playing in SF. He'll be 32 before the season ends. I sure wouldn't trade much for him.

Yes, probably generalizing "lucky" was not an entirely correct idea. However, if you look at my post, I had said the pitching looked as good as it was and the hitting is still as mediocre as it was. As CatchMaster pointed out, those one run, low scoring, coming from behind wins could have and, in the future, can easily turn into losses. That is what I was basically trying to imply. They definitely need impactful bat or two, either via trades, from within or some combo of the two. Scoring few runs in an inning and being shut down by the average pitching the rest of the game while holding on for dear life to win is not the receipt for the strong contender, despite Giants current record. Which by the way I am very happy with but being cautious about the collapse due to incomplete team. It did happen before to the Giants, great 1st half record and then monumental collapse.

Also, the pitching gets to slow down the closer it gets to September due to possible tired arms. Looks like the Giants have the depth but still. On the other hand, hitting usually picks up in the summer months. If the Giants offense had leveled to the same current pace going forward, that could be trouble as well.

they threw inside on him a couple times, hit him, he takes first and they throw over and pick him off. i don't like how BoMel handled that one, take him out of the game. guy is face down in pain and you're gonna not do anything as manager, what is wrong with you? we are lucky he didn't have any action plays in the 9th in the field. your guys who make dollars need to be taken out as a precaution during 162 game regular season action if they are clearly hurt!

No worries because our powerhouse offense will makeup for his absence.

I'm laughing as I type this. You can tell the Giants offense is weak because Kruk and Kuip always talk about players having a nice AB even when they make an out. Not enough HR calls so they have to say something.

They would all have found their bats if they didn't run into that untouchable Colorado Cy Young candidate with that magnificent ERA of only slightly over 8.
Or maybe someone should remind them in Colorado no one would have shut down anyone including my grandma if she was batting there. Well, maybe no one except the Giants.
