I am not sure why that doesnt warrant a response. You guys were advocating for him as a player that needs at bats on this team. So that means either one of two things here. Either you think that he is so good that he shouldnt be looked at as a trade candidate because it would hurt our team to lose him, or that you dont truly believe he is that good because he wouldnt get us much of anything in a trade either. So what is it?

I dont think Flores, Wade, Davis, Yaz, or Conforto would get us a good starting pitcher. That doesnt mean i would just dump any of them or say they should get all the at bats at their positions. That would be a dumb thing to say. But if ANY of these guys would get that in a deal I would move them in a heartbeat.

Wade should get at bats on this team because we dont have a stud 1B who should be an everyday player. As the team currently stands he is an important contributor.

You are most certainly correct. I would still take him over Crawford, as we need the SP. Maybe he can get by on sheer bravado and tyranny of will, if not stuff..

I suppose we haven't seen him put everything he has into 1 inning, but I agree, he is washed. Bum is too proud to come out of the pen anyways. At this point he is already accomplished and wealthy, so theres no reason to continue embarrassing himself like Crawford is about to.
