Why can't they just move on?

geezus

Yaz is okay if he can stay healthy but Slater is way too strikeout prone. Even Yaz isn't going to put butts i the seats. They need to sign a couple of fairly big names. I'm not in favor of Ohtani because it ties up too much money in one player. They could get 2 or 3 good players that would help the team more.

Slater is a great pinch hitter who can play any OF position. 4 mil is pretty cheap for someone who fills a needed role.

He's really streaky. He had along period last year when he couldn't even put the ball in play. He has good power but we seldom see it. He'll hit a half dozen HRs that travel 430 ft but then a long period of nothing. He's a decent defensive player but it seems like he gets hurt every year. They need to move on. They keep signing the same guys every year hoping they'll turn it around.
Wow so Dodgers may get Ohtani AND Trout

if this happens I am done with baseball for awhile

I hope baseball recovers.

would you also be done with posting in here? Go Dodgers go.

All kidding aside I doubt they trade for Trout. If he gets moved I would think Philly would be a much more likely destination.
Melvin and Matt Williams seem really high on Chapman
Let the battle for 2nd place begin!

I expect us to have a strong offseason and make meaningful additions, that establish us as real contenders

14 teams in an Yamamoto

Any team that signs Yamamoto will owe a posting/release fee to the Buffaloes. That fee is equivalent to 20% of the contract's first $25MM, plus 17.5% of the next $25MM (a combined total of $9.375MM), plus 15% of any money thereafter. Using MLBTR's predicted nine-year, $225MM deal as a hypothetical example, that contract would come with a $35.625MM fee — a total outlay of $260.25MM

Shota Imanaga, the 2nd best pitcher available from Japan will also be posted - supposed to go for about half as much as Yamamoto but is 30 years old.
