Lol, I f**king knew that was gonna happen.

Wow. Dude needs to go on IR and seek mental help after that. 3run HR + 2Run HR. Tony V maybe should have taken him out?

As soon as they got that first runner on where the ball hit the bag, I said out loud "oh wow, they're definitely gonna get walked off here."

It was meant to be apparently.

I dunno who else he would have brought in though

I felt the same way. I had the remote in my hand ready to change the channel. As soon as they hit that 3 run HR to tie the game I switched over to a movie. I couldn't stand to watch the ending. It's a shame they blew that game. Lee had one of his best days ever both at bat and in the field.

Doval (or what he had become at the end of the Giants tenure) wasn't a solution either. But the closer world doesn't end with him.
So what we are seeing now is the result of only two options:
either Posey is ridiculously bad at what he does, because the blind high schooler could have sensed that at least the end of the bullpen will be an absolute disaster (I don't believe that for a moment.)
Or
Posey invested into the offense and shored up D and ran into the "brick wall" of budget money and couldn't address the pitching other than s**tty dumpster dives.
Well at least Wotus is the 3rd base coach. There's that.

Temporary. He doesn't want to do it long term. I'm not sure why they didn't promote someone in the organization that wants the job.
This is pathetic.
Have the vet players given up? If this was the NBA they would all be in sweats with strange injuries to Tank that record.

They're now 14 games under .500. They would need to go 20-5 in their next 25 games to get over .500. What are the chances that this team could go on a streak like that. If this continues I hope the front office doesn't fool themselves into thinking the team is just one player away.

They're now at the point where the announcers are cheering "good' at bats. They bring up players to try and provide a spark and nothing happens. Every game I tell myself I'm done with these guys but like a drug addict I always go back.

I think what started Dovals dive from being effective was when he wanted a big contract to be the closer and we wanted to see more. He even got a neck tat that had dollar signs as his silent protest. He always seemed low energy, but seemed like he pouted more. Then that was it he spiraled from being effective to throwing lots of balls and setting himself up for fat pitches and predictability.

Being a closer is tough and the giants don't have any.

Pitching has been the one bright spot in recent years for the Giants. Those WS teams were led by pitching. Now it appears that the pitching talent is drying up. Maybe it's because they've been trying to draft offensive talent. Unfortunatley that talent hasn't been developing either so now we have a team that can't score runs and can't pitch either. How can you be 6th in total hits but dead last in runs scored?
Borucki DFA'd

Also the race to 100 heats up!

They could probably DFA nearly every pitcher in the bullpen.
Dam… this is rock bottom for sure , they need to blow this up

I agree. Need to manage this current team like playing poker. Stop spending money and going all in on a losing hand.
Develop a strong core of young players then build around them.
So that means purging Chappy and Devers if anyone wants them. And players that would get offers Ray and Arraez.
If only they could hit like this regularly

at least eldridge looks like the future
