In a region where the Warriors and 49ers are competitive evey year this isn't going to fly. There are 2 reasons to own a pro sports franchise. One is tt make money. The other is an ego thing. To stoke that ego you want to win. Currently they aren't winning and they will lose money if they don't start drawing fans again.
the only way to send a message to the team is not going. So hopefully the message was delivered. The Cardinals had their worst year I think I have ever seen in my life but I would be willing to bet that team goes hard in FA, etc to fix it. I cannot say the same for the giants.
I have lived in the DC area for 11 years and every year I got to at least 2, if not all 3, giants games when they come to town. This year is the first year I stayed home and watched on tv intead. Who was I paying to see on this team? Estrada and Flores are probably the teams best hitters. Am I spending a hunnid to watch that? lol
I can't ever remember a giants season where there wasn't a couple players that I loved even if the team wasn't that good. Farhan has accomplished that. The most exciting giant is watching our catcher play defense. Or maybe Doval getting a save. That is all you get.
I am glad they are going to finish below .500. But this is the first year I am not really looking forward to the offseason because I doubt Farhan makes this team exciting.
