No one asked you and none of us know what Webb meant by his comment. When you say "coach" are you talking about the pitching coach? Batting coach? It can't be Kapler because he is... well in baseball they call him a manager.

Seriously though, he could be referring to bringing in more vets dedicated to their craft and guys who can provide leadership to the younger players by their example and words. My guess, its a little of everything

Doesn't help that there is a an online smear campaign from the Trumpers because Kapler took a knee awhile back in support of BLM. Tighten it up ,Giants. Sign some good players for once as well.

lol this has nothing to do with Trumpers. It has to do with the Giants being mediocre and boring in 3 of Kapler's 4 seasons here.

It's frustrating to hear stuff like this. It just confirms what most fans have already noticed about the Farhan/Kapler era Giants. This tends to happen when an atmosphere gets too laid back and player friendly.

"When's the last time you heard music in a major-league clubhouse after a loss?" one Giants player, granted anonymity in order to speak freely, reportedly told Baggarly. "I mean, you shouldn't hang your head for too long after a loss. But you shouldn't be OK with it, either."

The music is part of what Baggarly describes as "a clubhouse that has included too many ho-hum reactions to losing along with a near-zealotry to Pusoy, a Filipino card game that Joc Pederson and some other Giants players appear to find more compelling than studying the night's opposing starting pitcher."

Efforts to fix the clubhouse, which Baggarly reports have included public comments or internal speeches from Mike Yastrzemski, Wilmer Flores, Thairo Estrada and apparently Webb, haven't stopped the second-half free fall for the Giants."
