Well Paul George had a handshake wink-wink deal with the Lakers and look what happened. There are no guarantees and we're talking about the Knicks. The most dysfunctional franchise in the NBA.

Durant's agent and friend Rich Kleiman is a Knicks fan apparently. Durant will get the most money he can and sign a Warriors contract a moment after he opts out, and start working on his statue plans for the Chase Center. My opinion of course.

This was a pretty good trade for Knicks. Porzingis is coming off a pretty bad knee injury and is a RFA this summer - and is looking for a max deal. Paying that money is very risky imo for a 7'3 guy with a bad knee injury. And I'm a huge Porzingis fan but I'd be nervous paying him a max deal.

Knicks also got rid of two really bad contracts and got a very exciting young player in DSJ + expiring contracts - giving them two full max slots.

I think they have the best chance now to land KD and Kyrie in summer if they choose to leave their teams.

They could potentially land no 1 pick as well and land Williamson or Barrett.

Don't forget Fizdale is their HC now. He's very very popular among players! Very popular!

Actually you are partially right. According to some report KD likes him so there's that I just can't find the link.

He's a players coach. He was assistant coach in Miami and every player spoke very highly of him.

I'm sure he's rubbed some players the wrong way because he's a high intensity dude
