So, Rondo wants a ring in LA, eh? Got some work to do this season first. New parts, young dudes, and the distractions that must certainly come from being a Laker are all in the way. I say they nab one within 3 years. I mean that has got to be the window with LeBron's age, right?

As he regresses everyone around him will be progressing. And statistically he had his best season last year so he might have 3 all pro years left, minumum.

The Celtics, not the Warriors IMO will be the barrier in 2-3 years and beyond to winning a ship.

Why we couldn't find a place for him, or Trevor Ariza over stephenson or beasley is beyond me.

They could have matched any offer for Julius. Looking at the center position - he really should have been retained for a year at least imho

I did read his agent was not happy with the Lakers.

Oh well - it's done with. Time to move on. Hopefully they pull off a trade for a center that fits without giving up anything significant.

Really, I would be please with around a .500 start first month. We really need some time to gel and get firing. Anything better than thatwould be gravy. And if we are under, I won't be too alarmed.

Predicting 51 wins for the Lakers

Top 8 minutes getters:
Lebron 33mpg (Lakers will be too 3 in the league in pace - hence career low minutes for Lebron).
BI 33mpg
Kuz 32mpg
Ball 30mpg
Rondo 22mpg
McGee 20mpg
KCP 20mpg
Hart 22mpg

This team is going to be so much fun to watch. Let's gooo!!!!!!

Yea...may start slow but as long as their is progress from week to week - I wouldn't be too concerned. If the team stays healthy - I'm sure they'll win 50 games.

Health will be the biggest factor. I think he can still play at an elite level up to his 40s, he's just gotta stay healthy. His shooting is only getting better, same as his post game, and his passing isn't gonna leave him. He might not be able to run the floor like he does now when he's 36-37, but he'll still be a top 10 player imo.
