Alliance of American Football (new league in 2019)

Hotshots hand the Apollo's their first loss. Crazy finish, Orlando got down to around the 5 yard line needing a TD but had to clock it with only a few seconds left. Two OL jumped early on the clock attempt, 10 second run off, game over

I called it (not that it was hard to predict)

How long will he last there?

Till his next overdose

This league is actually pretty fun. It's not as good as the NFL. But it's nice having football in the offseason. More tailgating and more football in the offseason is great. I have season tickets to the San Diego Fleet. It's a good entertainment option IMO.

Yeah I'd call it a success so far.

I love watching smaller adult leagues. I used to go watch Daly City Renegade games when I live in SF. I live in Canada now, 3 blocks from a CFL stadium. The AAF is waaaaaaay more watchable... wish they could merge the two league and adopt AAF rules.

I also wish we'd bring Gardner back to the 9ers. That dude is tearing it up for the Fleet.

I am glad to have Gardner as a San Diego Fleet fan. He is very good and breaks some real long runs. I think he is a little undersized for the NFL. He is short of stature and not all that big. But he is perfect for the AAF. In the NFL he could maybe be a backup. Probably he was cut mostly because of his size which is a negative at the NFL level. At this level he is an excellent player. He may get another shot in the NFL. He has proven to be effective.

Yes he went to Humboldt State.
I didn't realize Birmingham has Quinton Patton. He has made a few plays out there. He looks pretty good. Trent Richardson looks good for them.

Oh s**t I forgot about this league already lol
I'm really enjoying this league. Great hits and movement of the game. I think it will just get better with time. I know the 49ers have an affiliation with the Arizona Hotshots, right? I would love to see the NFL expand NFL rosters by 5 spots and allow NFL teams to send two players from your practice squad to your affiliate team.
Great win!
