He's got a player option. He can opt out at the end of the season, become a UFA and sign elsewhere if he wishes to do so. Hell, he damn near left for Dallas last time his contract was up, so what's to stop him now that Paul and Griffin are gone? Birds rights just means the Clippers can go over the cap to resign him. They can also pay him more and for more years than any other team, but I doubt the absolute max is his top priority.
