Not at all. It's a very one sided traded. I wouldn't have given up so much for one of the most overrated and injury plagued players in the league. Stan Van Gundy is the GM of the team as well right? He's not gonna last much longer with moves like this.

they had to do something. going .500 every year isn't gonna keep his job either.

Yeah but that team isn't close to a top 6 seed even with Griffin.
Blake is probably the most overrated player currently in the NBA. Bad trade for the Pistons.

I think he is a top 20-25 player in the league when he is healthy. Staying on the court is the big issue though.

Personally, I think its worth the risk for Detroit. They werent going anywhere with the roster they had,, have been playing terrible basketball as of late, and at best were a 7 or 8 seed that would get bounced in the first round.

With John Wall out of the All-Star game I'm hoping Ben Simmons gets picked to replace him

What you're not considering is how talent follows him. There may be no team as is that he can join and compete with the warriors. But if he goes to a team with decent talent and a couple stars take a little less to make a run, they can be right there in no time. s**t, look at Cleveland. When James left Miami for the cavs they weren't in any shape to contend. He brought them a title shortly after, taking down the mighty warriors.

You aren't factoring in his age. He can't wait a year or two for the team to come together.
