With or without their QB, they lose this game. Hopefully, everyone that whined about, including the governor who does not want to teach race in schools, will quietly silence themselves.
Not sure why this was thrown in there, no reason for it. As for the game, this is just what college football has become unfortunately. Nobody can say this new version of college football with the portal, NIL and destruction of conferences is good for the sport.

He tried to use both, race and the issue of FSU's omission, as a political ploy to garner support.

Make a rule that colleges have to match coach salaries into a player salary pool that players get an equal cut of.

then all the fake nil stuff will largely go away and feed into that pool.

I prefer if they are open to do something like that - tie it to revenue. Coaches salaries can easily be manipulated with perks instead of salary $.

Opposite scenario could be - programs with deeper pockets will have even more advantage in recruiting as they may pay coaches higher salaries to attract best talent.

I think it's probably better every player in D1 gets the same cut. May not be the best way to award the best players but then they have NIL stuff to compensate them.

Either way - college football is making way too much money now to not properly compensate the players.
Just get rid of college sports all together at this point. This now a full on business that has little to do with academics.

When did college sports ever have anything to do with academics? When I was going to college Andre Miller was in a few of my classes. Saying he wasn't the brightest student would be the understatement of the year, but he only made it to maybe 10% of his classes and till passed the classes and got a degree which is absolutely useless.

When scrubs are getting millions of dollars like what's potentially advertised above it's now a profession. Guys like Andre used the be few and far between but now no name scrubs are leaving in drives to be part of basically what is free agency to get paid. It's a completely different scenario now with NIL. This has absolutely nothing to do with college now besides who can pay the most.
