They played a tougher schedule and went into Alabama and beat a great team. Alabama? This is a team peaking at the right time and knocked off the #1 team in the country.

I feel bad for them but with the injuries to their QBs and playing a pretty weak schedule (ranked 55th and no wins over a top 10 team) it just was too hard for FSU to overcome. Georgia will beat them in the Orange Bowl pretty easily IMO.

I want to see the top teams play and Alabama was that. The only game they lost was to one of the other playoff teams while Florida State played a cupcake schedule and would have gotten thumped badly.

they didn't play a cupcake schedule; you can't control your conference, yet that's where a team like Bama pulls ahead in SoS
FSU started out with #5 LSU a SEC team with the eventual Heisman winner, beat em harder than Bama did

They weighed the Louisville game pretty heavy . FSU offense looked like s**t . They needed to look good and crush Louisville IMO

that was with QB3 tho
it's a joke, undefeated and not in the playoff
the entire playoff is not legitimate
Florida Stats preparing to leave ACC for 2025, which likely will lead to end of ACC.

my guess:

SEC: FSU, Clemson, Louisville, Miami

Big 10: North Carolina, Duke, Virginia Tech, Virginia

Big12: Pitt, Georgia Tech, Cal, Stanford

Somewhere else: NC State, Boston College, Syracuse

big 10 and SEC are basically the 2 super conference pro leagues.

big 12 is a wanna be scrubs

everyewhere else is amateur lower divisions

Could call it the College Football League: the Big 10 would be the "North division", while the SEC would be the "South division".

Like TCU should have been thumped badly by Michigan last season but made it to the Championship. Lol. Georgia is probably the best team 8n College football, so your reasoning is off
Interesting, I guess

Watch football at a theater

WOW! Mizzou just offed Ohio State. The Buckeyes looked completely disinterested. What a game for Mizzou!

So much for FSU deserving to be one of the 4 teams playing for the National title.

23 starters from FSU opted not to play tonight.

Wouldnt have mattered on the outcome although the score certainly wouldnt be 42-3 at halftime. But the committee was right leaving them out.

Since my post disappeared, let me say it more politely. FSU played no one of consequence. I can understand their frustration, but they did not deserve to be in the playoff. With or without their QB, they lose this game. Hopefully, everyone that whined about, including the governor who does not want to teach race in schools, will quietly silence themselves.

*correction, I posted it in the other thread. I thought it gobbled up by the interwebs.*

Not sure why this was thrown in there, no reason for it. As for the game, this is just what college football has become unfortunately. Nobody can say this new version of college football with the portal, NIL and destruction of conferences is good for the sport.
