According to the broadcaster ratings in the USA for the Olympics are down 35%. The rights are in the $Billions.

NFL hasn't even started yet though. I do have to admit this olympics seems way less compelling then any other I have watched. Harder to get into it for some reason, might be we are seeing less USA athletes in contention or something.

Lots of other forms of entertainment and maybe the heated elecion has something to do with it.
