The playoffs are so watered down. I think they really need to revisit letting 16 teams into the playoffs or revisit Division/Conference records and just allow the 16 or even 12 best teams into the playoffs.

Use the 1st round of the playoffs as conference battles. Then after the first round, do a complete reseed per record and remove the conferences altogether.

You know the league isn't at its best when Golden State breaks the record for best record ever and Philly almost got the worst record ever. I think San Antonio had the best record for a 2nd seed ever. Definitely seems a bit top heavy right now, I would be all for a complete reseed to make it more competitive.

Man, I'm a fan of SA and that game was freaking boring last night. Spurs have been in a shooting rut for about 3 weeks now. They've been starting nearly every game out cold. I want them to just run it at a high pace but they really need to nail down their half court because that's the only way they are going to beat the Warriors. The misses has them playing sloppy as well.

Cavs are very under-rated 3pt shooting team. Yes, they were meh in first half of the season but have been elite last couple months. Tied Warriors for consecutive games with double digit 3 pointers this season. That's with Lebron (not great but decent 3pt shooter) and Kyrie (elite 3pt shooter) being super cold all season. Now, both are starting to hit from deep more consistently. 20 3pointers today - tied NBA record.

Pistons are tough. Fan of Stanly - he's not scared of Lebron. Like that kid. But, too much Lebron and 3pt shooting.

Stanley played very well game 1. Started talking for no reason and got his ass handed to him game 2 (only scored 5 points, gave up 6/6 to Lebron). Pistons will be lucky to win one game this series, not because they aren't talented but because they don't have the necessary composure to push through the late game bad moments. They also can't expect to hit 60% of their shots on a regular basis like they did through the first three quarters in game 1. Game 2 they came back down to reality, was able to stay in the game most of it but ended up getting beat by damn near 20.

Thought I'd see a little different result from the Celtics as well. They are young and talented but they looked bad

Yea, I don't get the trash talking after game 1 and then again after game 2. SVG had to pull aside the rook and tell him to knock it off today. After gettin' dominated in game 2 by Lebron - he should have stopped. Don't turn into Lance Stephenson.

Rockets fan shouldn't be celebrating.

Their fans were expecting Houston to be swept, so at least they can say the series is going to 5 now. The fans know the Rockets don't stand a chance.
is it just me or have the playoffs been lightweight boring so far? I'm sure it will get better the next round

It really has been for the most part. The 1st round needs to go back to being a best of 5 series.

It's because some of these teams are a joke. I don't know whether that's because of the gap between GS and SA compared to the other teams in terms of their efficient play on the court or that most of these teams either don't have a eye-popping star player or are just sloppy and stagnant.

Spurs possibly has the easiest 1st round opponent since Grizzlies are injured. In addition both teams has similar style of play. Possibly the least exciting match up in the playoffs. It woulda been more exciting if the Spurs are playing the Mavs. Old rivalry.

30 teams in the NBA 16 make the playoffs. Never a good thing. Luckily nobody had a losing this time but it happens
