Confirmed Eels season over I hope Hayne doesnt get affected by this news, we need him to focus NFL that is his sport now.

Surprised to see Feleti and Kasiano as well as a few others not in the kiwi or Oz teams.
The 5 officials including the C.E.O. have their individual register of licence to operate a club has been revoked, also not to be involved or be in any way near or form of the grounds of that institute.
Ok I tip

New Zealand x 12 points or win.
Samoa women to win comp.
Samoa men to win theirs
Country x 10 points, or straight out win.
They are given time to appeal the decision, but I dont like their chances.

I don't either... Heart break for the club, but a fair decision.

I wonder if players will take a pay cut or bail on the club in the predicted fire sale?

I guess at least its done and dusted now rather than later on when they might have busted a hump and getting success only to be stripped of it in a more disheartening way
Its a damn shame but fair enough I guess
Tough on the diehard supporters

From what I have just read Sharp and the other officials are already in the high court arguing their sacking breaches corporate laws.
A clean out is probably the only way forward.

Just highlights how unworkable the current salary cap is, It is only in place as a means of artificially levelling the competition and there are far better and transparent ways of achieving the same outcome. I and everyone I have spoken to today don't believe for a minute Parramatta are the only club trying to rort the cap, they are just the most recent to be caught.

If the NRL were serious about it they could fix the problem over night.
The NRL could quickly and easily put a value on every player in the competition with the NRL's player values used for salary cap purposes. Clubs and players would be free to negotiate contracts for any amount they agreed on but for salary cap purposes the NRL's value would be the one used. 100% transparent and no way to rort it. You could do the same thing with player rankings, rank the 25 players on every clubs books 1-10, 1-100 wouldn't mater what scale you used, get a total for the 25 players x 16 clubs devide by 16 and you have your cap total.
