Yeah, you say you aren't bothered, but what you say and how you post are 2 totally different things. You're like puffing out your chest and have this kinda "Yeah, how you like that?! I told you, FOOL!" kinda way about it. This is a good debate you guys are having. Just drop the bullsh*t and stick with the good stuff. I'm not trying to rip you here. I'm very interested in reading what both of you are saying. Just sayin.

I'm online debating so intonation is literally impossible to decipher and we are all from different environs so my perception of what I'm giving off is obviously different from what you or others might be picking up. I really don't recall being condescending or disrespectful but the brawler in me is gonna snap back if I detect a fight coming my way. Then again it could be my perception of what someone is saying that's off. It is hard to say what's what but when it comes to MJ vs LBJ in this thread that's where I'm trying to keep it. Everyone will see it a certain way but I'm stating the case for why I think MJ is on top right now. I've allowed that LBJ could conceivably surpass MJ or Kobe but right now he doesn't have the hardware and I don't see the sense in diminishing yesteryear to excuse what LeBron has yet to do today. In my opinion he gotta get it done and when he does I will be the first to say it or maybe the second or third but last year vs Kawhi I thought he took a step back. I wanted to see the elbows I saw yesterday and the scowl on his face of defiance. That's what I like and that's how I was raised playing the bums in my neighborhood (although one guy made it pro and others to college) so I am biased to physical intense play with a ton of trash talk. When I don't see that from LeBron and he loses to Kawhi like he did last year I was upset. This year I love the way he is playing win or lose I love the fight he is showing and the bullying he demonstrated. You want something you man up and take it! Push the limits of officiating and give your opponent hell even in defeat!

Oh yeah! I grew up playing the dozens so when I'm debating topics I'm probably subconsciously throwing shade at the other side as a force of habit. I try to keep it tame online but we kept it raw coming up so I have been making the adjustment since adulthood and throughout discourse with folk I never came up with. My aim here is to speak my piece and counter the argument to the contrary. Nothing more nothing less. It ain't personal with me unless we know each other somewhere

I respect all that. A lot of it is much like my own upbringing. Just sayin you're having a good debate and all the BS isn't necessary, cuz I don't want to see the debate derailed like it usually does when chests get puffed out. Know what I'm sayin?

I feel ya homie. I'm having a lot of fun with this. I worked CST from 12p to 9p so a lot of my posts came during working hours so I couldn't elaborate as much as I might've had I been off but I'm trying to give and go. Now I will say that I got a good look at the game with my blinders off and I can see where 4ML or LA was coming from I think? with the idea that globalization of the game has served to add a larger talent pool and that even though the faces look different and the book has a different cover there is a great deal of talent in today's game. I just don't see the guerrilla tactics on the court no more like I used to but I see now that the talent is at a very high level of skill and the game is a joy to behold. I'm not too old to come around to what's happening so I will bear with it and enjoy the game for what it has become. I gotta trust that catering to a consensus opinion of what fans want to see might do this game some good after all

Guys like you take a team win and simply credit it to the best player on the team. His supporting casts on those teams were ridiculous, and don't get near their just due. You don't even have to be hypothetical about it. They actually were really good without him, with the worst starting SG in the league (Myers) taking his place.

You generalizing me now? Putting words in my mouth. I know a team wins but your stars gotta step up in the playoffs. I believe MJ actually raised his game postseason. Assists included. Am I wrong? I'm on mobile so I ain't googling stats butMJ made plays for others too. Guys like me huh? You all knowing or something? Opinions differ so you gotta deal with it. Generalizing guys won't cut it always

Says the guy who assumes people didn't watch basketball in the 80's or 90's if they don't share his opinion lol

Calm down there buddy, no need to get so upset..it's iust a discussion about b ball

Oh so that's what this was about? Kobe vs MJ or LeBron? Or Kobe vs LeBron? They're all obviously great and I heard about MJs stellar cast. He had studs around him defenders shooters and Pip was a shot creator too and they did win 55 games out East but in MJs first full seasons back they went to a record 72 wins then 69 and 67 the following seasons and another 3 peat. That's a significant jump I'd say. They said MJ hogged the ball but his assists improved postseason from 5.3 to 5.7 as did his points and rebounds. He raised his game made his team better and was at his best postseason while delivering a repeat three peat. That's why he's the standard right now. We say he's overrated so where should he rate? I got a couple big man candidates but wings? Fuggetaboutit!

The LeBoners from your boy winning the JV tournament are great. He's spent the prime of his career bouncing from one set of multiple all-star/HOF level players to the next, and he's still gonna have just 2 rings. But he puts up numbers, so hey.
