Including being upset/SWEPT by the huge underdog Reds in the 1990 WS, the A's have been a s***ty postseason team for 30 years.

I do appreciate that they keep trying new things, but IMO the last two postseasons they gambled too much on big arms and big bats. Maybe next year they can start with a Mr. Average Velocity like Fiers. Get them into a defensive rhythm (their bread and butter) and hope they get comfortable on offense. Bring in the big arms if things escalate.

Beane is working on new trades as we speak. Fire sale for more prospects!

Because of the revenue situation they are always having to walk a tightrope in terms of personnel and inevitably it seems that when they struggle, it really exposes their depth issues. Gonna be another offseason of retooling, hoping to get more out of a sub $100 million roster.

They'll get to another postseason in near future, most likely a WC game again because that's what they're geared for...Beane & Co. do a good job kicking over rocks and finding some gems, but because they have the self-inflicted BS excuse of "small market", they'll never spend to bring in some bigger names, nor will they spend to retain young talent. So just good enough to make the WC, but not good enough to get any further than ALDS even if they happen to win the WC game, which they're like 0-3 now oh btw.

Oh well, season over, time to trade Chapman and Olson.
