Lol so many here quick to move Posey to 1B... Sorry but right now we don't have another catcher who can command & call a game as well as Posey can.
Stop the nonsense lol. Posey has a few yrs left ro go in the squat. So get used to it

Big game today.
First look at these Padres, they got roughed up by the Doyers. I'm curious how effective Huddy will be, hopefully it's first half of last season Huddy.
Crawford is our #5 Hitter! Hopefully he keeps crushing the ball.

If the team isnt going to move Posey then it makes no sense to not trade Susac if they can get a young OF, 3B, or SP back. Now isnt the time though. They need Susac to have a great year to increase his value.
Reality is the Giants have Posey, Susac, Sanchez, and another good catching prospect in the minors Aramis Garcia who was their 2nd rd pick. If Posey would move to 3B then it would solve some problems but I truly dont think that is going to happen in the near future.
The Giants shouldnt take the route that makes no longterm sense just because Posey likes to catch. We have another young star C coming up, and a hefty investment in Posey for the next 7 years. Getting rid of Susac would eliminate our best option to prolong Posey's career as a productive player.
All its going to take is another direct zinger to the head and Posey having to leave the game to get the Giants seriously thinking about starting the transition. They would be foolish not to.
Yes 99 we know your thoughts on this and its been repeated over and over. It is not what we think but what is reality and that seems to be Posey catching for at least a few more years.
I just disagree with your opinion that the Giants have already made up their mind about where Posey is playing longterm, to the point where they would actually trade Susac.

We may see Duffy at first base this weekend. Really like his bat and versatility.

Based on what? Nothing they have said or done indicates anything other than him catching. I would trade Susac in a heartbeat if I could get a young OF or 3B with power

Salt Lake @ Sacramento (AAA, Pacific Coast League) - Coello (???) to start in place of Heston
