Meh, even pts for/against isnt a great way to grade a D.

With that system, if the offense turns the ball over on their own 5 yard line, and the D then gives up a TD, why should that be on the D?
A.....
Option A

Tough schedule this year, but I think the Offense will flash greatness (if healthy) while the D suffers from too many loses this off season.

B. I know i was pissed off at this team last year, but at least let this man play out his contract!!!!!!!!

Why not post the yards gained & red zone %s in addition so we can see the effect that the defense and the turnovers they forced had on the offense. Points for/against is almost the vaguest/most watered down way to try and evaluate an offense.

Where's buck and his spreadsheets?

My answer is neither. I'm not "glad" Harbaugh is leaving, but if he and Roman are a package deal they both have to go. The passing game has evolved with the rule changes the last 3 years, and we seem to be the only team that hasn't seen a lick of improvement in that area over that time. That's entirely on Roman and Harbs.

This. There should be a middle option.

A. When your offensive system has been figured out you're done. Any competent offensive system and OC should get us up to an average offense at least.

This

not only was it figured out,Harbs and Roman had no Adjustments to counter what the defense was doing to them after halftime of each and every game and not only that, whenever they had a Thurs game and each bye week when they came back to play they were either flat and awful,it would seem to me that having those extra days and weeks off they would be better prepared to play, they were not, that is a telling sign that Harbs was sloppy and did a poor job of preping the team for success,I guess that`s how practices were ,because it showed how they played,I think it was the Big Tuna who said, you play the way you practiced.

Harbaugh lost interest after his contract was not resolved prior to the season, and I couldn't blame him.. After leading the 49ers to 3 successful years, he should be served with a silver platter..

He only suggested to continue to contract talke after the season because he knew he would look good to the media..

The demise of the team was not Harbaugh's fault, it was Baalke.. Harbaugh inherited a very young team reachin its peack with veterans to lead the them, and Jim was good enough to show the team how it can win ugly...

All of a sudden Baalke' head just swollen up and believed that every players on the team can be replaced w/the players he drafted... The secondary alone was becoming an elite group and look what he did to it..

I look at the schedule, and I see us having another 8 - 8 year... Different offense, but same result..
