Can't say enough about Baez. This guy is making plays seemingly every inning.

He is basically making Schwarber or Zobrist trade bait because one of them will be sitting now that Baez has established himself at 2B.
Oops time for Kershaw to fall off the cliff

Kershaw

I thought that Baez shot was gone.

Phew.
Heyward is just a terrible hitter. The Cards are so lucky that he left and went to Chicago considering the money that it would have cost to keep him.

Braves turned Heyward into Shelby miller, tyrell Jenkins, dansby Swanson, ender inciarte and Aaron Blair.

The Cubs will be praying and paying some team to take him off their hands especially when it's time to pay other guys. Amazing how he got 180 smh

I wouldnt trade Swanson for him straight up even if the money was the same.

lets go kershaw

I didn't realize he was starting already. I figured he'd go for game 3. Damn.

So far this off season he is coming up huge. He is the best pitcher of this generation so it makes sense that he wouldnt continue his post season woes.

His career postseason era was 4.79 before tonight, and thats over 77.0 innings. The sample size is big enough to show that there is a discrepancy between his regular season performance and his postseason performance. I wouldn't call it fluky.

i think it is a bit deceiving myself. STL killed him no doubt but pretty much all of the runs came late (in the 7th). Even the series against Washington his era shows over 5 but he got 2 wins and a huge save. The pen came in and let all 3 runners score that they inherited. But yes, there is obviously a difference between the regular season and postseason in his results and he needs to come up big in the post season to cement his legacy. Still, outside of Bumgarner in a big game, there is no other starter I would want out there.
Joey Bats is talking conspiracy, the umpires are out to get him and the Jays. Well, that's at least one way to to explain 1 run in two games.

The real way to explain it they're a power hitting team that predominantly swing for the fences. Looks great when it works but when it doesn't work u get the last 2 games. Bautista has gotten plenty of love balls/strikes wise from the umps over the years, then cries when it changes slightly. Will be happy when hes gone after the year.
