Even if his body can make it through a whole game or a weeks schedule or a months schedule. He will never again be able to play at a playoff pace again, and he needs to acknowledge that so the Lakers can move on.

He already said he's playing next year strictly for the money. From his point of view, why wouldn't he? Sucks for us fans, but like he cares. lol

He can take the money for doing nothing. The organization has already eatner the draft picks. I just don't want to see him on the court anymore. It's a joke at this point.
That loss probably locked up the 6th slot or better in the lottery. Boston's probably the only team the Lakers can catch that's ahead of them.

Thank you bollywood.
Boston's Remaining Schedule
@ Atlanta
vs. Charlotte
@ Cleveland
@ Philly
vs. Washington

Utah's Remaining Schedule
vs. Dallas
vs. Portland
@ Denver
vs. Lakers
@ Minnesota

Our Remaining Schedule
vs. Houston
vs. Golden State
vs. Memphis
@ Utah
@ San Antonio

We're only 2 games back of Boston. It could be done. That Phoenix win we had a week or so ago is really looking painful right about now.

Can't they just use their amnesty clause and release him though? I feel that would be worth it just so it can free up a roster spot.

The Lakers used the amnesty on Ron Artest last year. It's a one time thing. They use the stretch provision to release him and then spread out his $9 million cap hit over three years, but the front office in their infinite wisdom have indicated that they won't do this and will let him play out the last year of his deal. In any case, at the trade deadline next year, he'll be a $9M expiring contract that someone might be interested in. Again, I don't think the Lakers will trade him though. They are gunning for all the cap space they can get in 2015.

Ok gotcha I didn't know it was a one time thing like that. Thanks!

That game @ Utah looms large now. We're only one game ahead of Utah.

Sure he can. It's exactly what he did this year. He'll play a game, hurt himself by the 2nd quarter, and then be out 2 months. Have you not been watching this entire season? He's played in less than 10 games, or soemthing.

That's exactly what I said. He's not fooling anyone.

Honestly, I completely read that wrong and thought you said can't. My apologies.
