But with a lack of outstanding athleticism, what is his ceiling? Can you think of a comparable?
Would you say you weight ceiling vs. floor when making a pick? Because if you go for the biggest franchise changer possible, it would have had to be Drummond.
I trust Jerry West sees something in Barnes though. How can you be hailed so much out of high school and then be nothing?
Who has a lack of athleticsim?

He's of the Paul Pierce, Luol Deng, Kevin Durant ilk, although that comparison isn't totally linear. None of those guys are outstanding athletes, but all very successful. He's not as good of a passer as prime-Pierce, not quite the defender that Deng is, and not as long as Durant is. It think his ability to come off of screens is going to be a great asset in his NBA game, and he's going to be a solid defender as well.
I do weigh ceiling vs. floor, and if I didn't think so highly of Barnes I would have been screaming for Drummond at #7.

Evidently Barnes.
I think he is quite athletic enough. Sure Drummond at the highest ceiling but a lot of teams didnt think he was worth it.
