This is not a good sign. Coffee talks to God. We could of had an Angels in the Outfield type team. Of course we wouldn't get any help in the playoffs but at least we would of got there for sure.

I would like to know one thing. Did we draft this guy because of his football ability, or because Singletary likes having religious types on his team? I sure am hoping that religious beliefs isn't one of this team draft parameters... but I can't help but suspect that coffee would've been quitting from some other team if it wasn't for his "finding Jesus."
We didn't draft Tim Tebow so I wouldn't worry about it too much.
Well, I don't think you can put much stock in that. Tebow was drafted way before he probably should've been. No way were we gonna take him with either of our number ones. I don't doubt we would've taken his ass if he was still around when we picked in the second. Just because Sing didn't get that opportunity doesn't mean he wouldn't have taken it if he did.

I wonder if this is drug related? It came out of nowhere, some people say they see signs of being called or signs from god after they do some types of drugs.

It came out of nowhere for most 9er fans, doesn't sound like it came out of nowhere for him.

I think at times one's faith can be misleading. He can do a lot more for Christ as an NFL football player who makes a considerable amount of money than a student with a graduate degree in consumer affairs.
Sad thing is, he is wasting his God given talents that he could have used to promote/aide his faith.

How is it any different than posting a racial or sexist comment ? It has the potential to incite and offend a large number of members of this site. It was posted in a very dry manner, joke or not, it is wrong.

It sounds like football just wasn't something he wanted to do anymore. He was probably pressured into entering the draft by family and friends if he is now looking back and saying he should not have entered the draft. The guys heart was just not in it . I think he went about it the wrong way by not talking to front office or the coaching staff about the way he felt prior to dropping the bomb on the team but it sounds like he is making the right decision for himself.
