Then, they can add CP3 next year and they will have the new big 3 with Melo, CP3, and Lopez. At least I think that's what they are hoping for - add a really good PG at the deadline this year or in the off-season.

chadfordinsider Sources: Nuggets discussing four-team trade that would land Melo in New Jersey: http://es.pn/cn5YTL (via @STEIN_LINE_HQ)

The proposed deal, sources said, also would involve the Utah Jazz and the Charlotte Bobcats. It would deliver Nets rookie forward Derrick Favors, Jazz veteran Andrei Kirilenko and multiple first-round picks to Denver in exchange for their franchise player, potentially bringing a resolution to Anthony's uncertain future before the Nuggets hold their first practice of the new season.

Sources told ESPN.com that the deal, which has yet to be finalized, also would send former All-Star point guard Devin Harris to Charlotte, with Bobcats forward Boris Diaw moving to Utah.

The four teams, said one source close to the talks, are "seriously engaged" after extensive talks Thursday.

Sending AK to Denver doesn't make any sense for Utah especially if they jsut get Diaw back.

It does if you take into account salary - Kirilenko is due over $17 million this year, Diaw $9 million. That's over $8 million in savings, and while it doesn't get them under the cap, it does put the Jazz well under the Luxury Tax Threshold. Considering Diaw and AK hold about the same value in terms of basketball worth, not to mention Diaw has shown to be a much more durable player, I'd say that'd be a great move for the Jazz.

Well put. This is a rare 4 team trade that actually makes sense for everyone involved.

And AK's salary is actually closer to $18 million. Diaw does have one more year on his deal, but that's also at $9 million and could be used as trade bait for teams looking to get under the cap for the 2012 Free Agency market, or they could let it expire along with Okur's, and they'd be freeing up nearly $20 million between the two.

AK's contract ends this year though. I think it would be better to hold out for a better deal.

Exactly plus Greg Miller has made it known to the fans that he doesn't care if he has to pay the luxary tax in order to win which is a huge difference from his cheap father the late Larry Miller. AK brings more to the table then Diaw does. The stats have always shown that AK this team winwhen he's in the lineup something I dont know if Diaw would do since Sloan isn't familiar with him. I hope the Jazz get out of this trade and just wait till the trading deadline if they are interested in shopping him. If it was Diaw from a few years ago I wouldnt be complaining but he hasn't done anything in Charlotte.

45 wins if they stay healthy...Melo is filthy, Farmar is serviceable, Brook is a star, Troy is a great complimentary piece, and Terence is about to do what I thought his l'ville brother Earl Clark would be doing in Phoenix, rip s**t up

This proposed trade just pisses me off

Why the f**k are the Nets giving up Devin Harris for no f**king reason. If you're trading for Melo you want to keep your only serviceable distributor so that you can compete THIS YEAR. Devin makes reasonable money and can be traded in the offseason very very easily. Or if you sign Chris Paul, Devin would be a great bench player making a reasonable $9M per year.

AK-47 for Boris Diaw is just retarded for the Jazz

The Bobcats rape everyone in this deal.

There is no reason to involve other teams if the Nets and Nuggets want to make a deal. The rest of the teams are irrelevant.

Trade Carmelo for Troy Murphy, Derrick Favors, Terrence Williams and a future first

How hard is that?

Actually more like

Devin Harris
Anthony Morrow
Travis Outlaw
Carmelo Anthony
Brook Lopez

Yes, Melo plays the 4.

Or they find another 4, who cares. It's easier to find a 4 than it is to find a point guard.

Troy Murphy is useless.
