its very possible (but maybe unlikely) that Germany might not even make it out of group. If Ghana and Serbia both beat Australia, then Germany HAS to beat Ghana to advance, without Klose.
But who knows, maybe Australia isn't as bad as they looked against Germany. But if they are, that Germany Ghana game is gonna be awesome.
unless he looked really good in this game, he hasn't looked all that great, not that big of a loss
I'm confident on Germany advancing no matter what, but I think the biggest winner could be the US if they are somehow able to avoid Germany in elimination games
Klose was okay the little bit he was in there. he had one decent scoring chance, I believe. I'm pretty sure Germany will rebound and will obviously play better with 11 men, but klose certainly gives them another legit scoring opportunity, especially on crosses. if podalski plays like he did today and no one else steps up, it could be tough for them. but, like you, i'm pretty confident germany will advance. i was just pointing out that its not a given, which is shocking, considering that yesterday we all had Germany as the best team in the tournament.
but yeah, good point about the US not playing Germany. it would be good to avoid that.
