KC does have Jacobs who they traded for from FLR.
So they have Gordon, Jacobs and Butler manning those 3 positions.
Long term, one of them probably would have to move to the OF.
Getting a Moustakas would be the most idea dream scenario but even though KC is desperate to go to the playoffs, I don't think they'd deal him away to maybe try to put them over the top. Could see them looking at this season as a year to jump into the playoff mix but the next few years for them will be the years they'll really try to commit to the playoffs and without having to giving up their top prospects.

Bailey, gotta love him.
Although he did load the bases in that 8th, he K'ed the side to get out of the inning.
Too bad the offense is s**t.

1st and 2nd, one out, Holliday up.
One thing to positive about Holliday, he kills with runners on.

Bailey getting some love on BBTN.
Too bad Gammons called him Austin, not Andrew although Ravich corrected him.

Gammons called Holliday the Tex of this trade deadline season.
I don't see that. Tex IMO was a much better player than Holliday, a guy who was a legit .300+, 35 HR, 110+ RBI type of hitter.
Add to that Holliday is a FA after this season while Tex had another year on control when Texas sent him to ATL for that boatload of prospects that has made TEX have one of the best minor league systems in the league.
Hell at this time, I'd love to deal a Holliday for somebody like a Andrus, and that's just one of the blue chip prospect TEX got from ATL in that deal.

Well A's made some personal moves today.
E.Gonzalez is called up although he got jacked up bad in AAA allowing a .300+ BAA so don't know how much better he'll do up here with major league AL hitters.
Also, Herrera was cut. Too bad, this guy was supposed to be the next 5 tool talent for the A's out of their system but seems as most of the recent DR/Latin American talents have busted ever since Tejada.
Lets see you had Ortiz the 2B who the A's viewed as teh 2B of the future at the start of 01 but he busted and didn't develop. Encarncion like Herrera was a toolsy OF prospect from the DR but he never lived up to his potential and tragically was killed sometime the past decade.
Herrera just 3-4 years ago, just about the time the A's landed Barton was considered to be even a better prospect than Barton when the A's got him from STL in the Mulder deal. He then suffered thru multiple injuries and was one of the minor leaguers who was busted for roids and was NEVER the same.
Gotta wonder if those roids play a role in how well hew as doing and was considered a very good prospect in the A's minors.

Supposedly the A's brass wants to resign Herrera as he's recovering from a wrist injury but then he supposed to have shoulder surgery.
Don't have much hope for this kid, well he's not a kid anymore, believe he's close to the mid 20s now.
