Yes, and it will free up a few mils if I read OTC right.
Bye.

If I'm reading OTC right, they save 2 million cutting Dee Ford.
Looking at 2023 and there are some big money dudes kicking in. Seems like depth and time is now.

Armstead $21.74 mil
Williams $26.27 mil
Kittle $16.3 mil
Warner $18.53 mil
Juszczyk $6.59 mil

With Deebo and Bosa being free agents I'm thinking Armstead and Juszczyk become cap casualties and get traded. Deebo is a great offensive weapon no doubt. Reminds me a little of how Percy Harvin was used but I'd see about injuries and wait until then for big money. Bosa is pretty much a given.

We have an opt out for AA before the 23 season, so we can redo his contract, trade or cut without taking a huge hit

If we can trade then draft Buck's replacement then we ABSOLUTELY can trade then draft Armstead's replacement.

should have kept buckner . Drafted a RT instead of kinlaw, but holding out hope for him.

In retrospect it's even more obvious but that's life.

Is this about where you expected?

This is what I've had projected ever since the NFL, NFLPA agreed upon the $208.2M ceiling, it all depended on all games being played, no cancelations, full or near full stadiums, which has happened, so it should be that $208.2M, if the season had issues anywhere close to 2020 it'd likely wouldn't go up much.

2023 wise, I wonder how much it'll go up, I wonder if 2023 could be the year it explodes to around $260M, which would mean the cap should rise by $20M a yr once the new TV deals kick in for 2023, so 2024 would be $280M, which I have for 2025.

AB what does this mean for us with or without JG's contract on the books?

Will we be in ok, good, or great shape cap wise next season? How will we look compared to other teams?

We'll be just fine going forward, not having a QB making the kind of money Jimmy is, will help keep Bosa, Deebo, Aiyuk, etc.. I know it sounds crazy, but it will, by the time Trey's 5th yr is here, that is 2025, the cap should be $280M, maybe higher.

Unless Juice's play falls off, he's not going anywhere.

I can see them moving on from AA, but I doubt it happens.

Warner, Trent, & Kittle aren't going anywhere, they can just redo those deals, save a ton of money, or the fact is, we're fine going further, no issues IMO.

As for Bosa & Deebo, both should be extended this offseason, you do both ASAP before their price rises, and you don't just let Deebo walk, or tag him 2-3 times, this front office hasn't done that, they extended Kittle & Warner in their final yr of their rookie deals.

Said it before that Juszczyk is a luxury as a top paid fullback in the league. He is fantastic but if he only gets 1 or no targets a game then he's not being used enough. Everytime he touches the ball he either shows nice hands or agility or high ability. They can simply go with a cheap blocking option and that's what I think will happen.

Eventually (in a season or two) they will need to pay for good CBs, O- linemen, WRs and if Lance turns out to be good him too. Every team gets hurt by big money contracts, it's inevitable.

As for Deebo and Bosa give Bosa his money but hold off on Deebo but that's just me.
Don't be surprised if one of our top players is traded away. I could totally see us releasing bosa or deebo instead of signing them. They are going to be very expensive and we will be tight on money. This FO isn't afraid to make big releases/trades as they showed us with buckner.

Considering just about every single player on our roster is injury prone it wouldn't kill us that bad to let go of a guy to replace him with a more reliable an healthy guy. Deebo an bosa are both huge contributors when on the field but staying on the field is their problem. I think this roster has taught us we're better off with "good" talent that can play 17 games a season compared to "great" talent that can only give us 12 games a season.
