I heard Daejon Love gave up #7 to Stribling after practice on Friday. What a teammate!!
Strib will be put to the test right away as he's probably going to get a ton of Trent McDuffie on him. That's a very tough matchup for a rookie right out the gate.

Was sorry to hear that Stribling changed his number. I thought he looked good in 15. Have never much cared for 7 as a number on a jersey for some reason. Though it's not as bad as 1, which I wish the 49ers would just ban.

Thoughts and prayers to McDuffie

Strib opening his NFL career by torching the Rams' big CB acquisition would be such an epic way to start his career.

7 has always looked awkward to me too. Looks and Feels unbalanced, if that makes any sense.

Will look a lot better when he helps us get our 7th Lombardi.

Let's start with 6 this year.
Came across a Stribling article on a Rams website talking about them being envious of playing against him during the season opener. Wrote about what could have been. When I read the comment section, while most were dismissive of the article. I was surprised to see an thoughtful response:

"Stribling would be a significant upgrade at WR3 and potentially the WR2 by 2027, with the insurance to have a long-term WR1 in case of Puka."

Thoughts?

Stribling's flaws, which were less than the draft evaluators claimed, were all stuff that you can improve with coaching. If Stribling is the eager student of the game that is being reported, he has just about all the tools of a top tier reciever. He's got size at 6'2" and 207 pounds, with "10 hands and legit sub 4.4 40 speed. If you believe you can hone his skills at the position, he is the perfect prototype number one receiver.

Shanahan has proven time and again if you're a wr, and you want to put in the work, you're going to be something in his system. Whether you're a 1st round talent like Aiyuk, or a late rounder like Jennings, trust in his system, do what is asked, and you will be a factor.

The guys who didn't buy in flamed out not only here but elsewhere (the pettis/danny gray/etc. types)

He actually looks like Kap playing WR, same height and athleticism.

Didn't like him in #15, people compare him to Jennings too much. Honestly don't like #7 either but whatever. I wish he rocked a number in the 80's like the GOAT.
