Classic "like the player, hate the value" pick. Obviously won't matter if he balls out but I didn't see a single mock or big board that had him going before late round 3.

Wow Stribling is an awesome/perfect replacement for Jennings. Good blocker, physical pass catcher. No wonder 49ers wanted to keep trading back. Really good after the catch averaged 7.3 YAC (more than Cooper).

The only WRs I can think that remotely made an impact year one out of the plethora is Deebo and Aiyuk. I guess he's already a blocker which is Kyle's biggest gripe if you want to see the field

Until I hear a team in the 30s looking to draft him then all we have are consensus boards out there for months. He hasn't been mentioned anywhere near this early.
Like I said, hopefully this pick looks great long term but we have a history of making these types of moves and I can't recall a player who we reached for early that worked out. Stout may be the only guy so far.

De'Zhaun Stribling was a late riser in the draft process, and it's clear to see why as he's an obvious coach's favorite WR. No shock Kyle Shanahan had his eye on him.

49ers once again out-drafting the consensus, almost as if they evaluated and graded prospects based on their system, preferences, and other information we don't have. What's funny is Kyle saying all the guys they would have drafted at 30 was still available, so... Stribling @ 30? Anyway, we got a crowded WR room with 4 guys that all basically do the same thing that Shanahan doesn't actually utilize in his offense. Two of Cowing, Watkins, and Robinson gonna be out by cutdown day. Fun times ahead!
