Classic "like the player, hate the value" pick. Obviously won't matter if he balls out but I didn't see a single mock or big board that had him going before late round 3.

Taking him at 33. JJ was a 7th rounder btw.

Obviously if he turns into a great player it will be no big deal but we keep reaching for guys in these situations and it's pretty frustrating.

Also we haven't had many reaches like this that worked out well for us. Hope this kid breaks that trend.

You have no idea if he's a reach.
Dude looks about 32.

I like Stribling more than Boston in our offense.

He better f**king play this year and not be another player they stash for next year

The only WRs I can think that remotely made an impact year one out of the plethora is Deebo and Aiyuk. I guess he's already a blocker which is Kyle's biggest gripe if you want to see the field

After going "huh?" that was my second thought as well.

Funny. Looks older than Jauan.
Not happy with the pick due to value but I see the vision. If he doesn't send Kirk to WR4 week 1, I'm gonna be annoyed.

Until I hear a team in the 30s looking to draft him then all we have are consensus boards out there for months. He hasn't been mentioned anywhere near this early.

Like I said, hopefully this pick looks great long term but we have a history of making these types of moves and I can't recall a player who we reached for early that worked out. Stout may be the only guy so far.
Yeah i get it....dude running over and running by people with regularity....his Highlight reel, is an actual highlight reel not just a collection of catches...
49ers once again out-drafting the consensus, almost as if they evaluated and graded prospects based on their system, preferences, and other information we don't have. What's funny is Kyle saying all the guys they would have drafted at 30 was still available, so... Stribling @ 30? Anyway, we got a crowded WR room with 4 guys that all basically do the same thing that Shanahan doesn't actually utilize in his offense. Two of Cowing, Watkins, and Robinson gonna be out by cutdown day. Fun times ahead!
