So I assume he got a 2nd opinion and they told him to go with the surgery. I guess our staff is quick to say "Nah.. your fine. Rub some dirt on it and get back out there".
Doing the math, 10 weeks would mean he should be back for the Vikings game in Mexico.
10 weeks, surgery and out for an extended time period. They said he was fine and 4 weeks. Our training staff and doctors are a complete joke. How is this guy so injured already? It was his first game.

Honestly yeah let's just get the surgery out of the way and he'll be back later in the season and hopefully 100% come playoff time. So Fn lame he was a huge part of the excitement going into the season, you have to go back to 2019 when we drafted Bosa to find a 1st round pick that didn't have a significant injury their rookie year. I guess there was Trey but he had a season ending injury what 2 games in as soon as he started?

Not to be captain obvious but it's because he broke a bone in his foot.
Even without the surgery I wasn't expecting him back until after the bye week. So really he is only going to miss 2 more games than i expected.

Even Bosa and Trey were injured their rookie seasons, though not as severely. Trey broke his thumb in preseason and Bosa missed most of TC with a high ankle sprain.
His season is probably over

I thought it was a ligament and not a break of a bone. But I don't know if that diagnosis changed or not? They originally said 4 weeks and he's fine. It doesn't sound like that now.
I'm honestly surprised and happy that the team had him get the surgery. IMO it's fair to wonder if they botched that decision with Pearsall. Sucks to lose him for 10 weeks. Same time, with Evans, Deebo, Robinson playing well. Having some young guys with speed in Watkins, Cowing & Hodge plus Kirk available as soon as week 5; I'm not super worried about the WR group yet. The most important thing RN is that Stribling gets healthy and returns with plenty of time to contribute later this season & the situation is handled correctly. Same time it will still be tough to not imagine what the offense could look like if he and Pearsall were out there.
I'm guessing he fractured a bone in the foot and they put a screw in the bone, a plate around the bone, etc. 10 weeks is reasonable to come back from a broken bone. 4-5 weeks for bone & ligament to recover. 4-5 weeks of rehab to get strength back.
Stribs lasted what? 15 plays?

Typical for this team.

Imagine what this team would look like if we were even remotely healthy the past 10 years.

The only time we have been fully healthy we made the Super Bowl and then lost when Greenlaw got hurt and we couldn't stop Kelce.
WTF 10 weeks now?

Ehh at this point its basically Season Ending for a rookie. A veteran could come back after 10 weeks and be impactful, but I don't see that happening with a rookie. I guess the good news he will be able to participate in training camp next year.
