It's probably best that Stribling got surgery now, then this turning into another Ricky Pearsall situation. Hopefully once the situation is right it is good as opposed to something that either gets worse or becomes a lingering situation. Maybe Stirb can offer something down the stretch. If you look at the schedule Strib would be eligible to return on December 6th against the Giants in the Meadowlands. Hopefully they hold him out an extra week, and don't have him return just to play at that injury graveyard.

Darnold…. One series, almost threw an easy interception, took a sack like a little b***h. Well on his way to being in the lead for most turnovers out of any quarterback AGAIN. Great job!!! 👏 maybe this year he won't take that title because he will be out a few games, but I'm sure he can do it.

Dude, you're trying to slam the guy who just won the SuperBowl? Comeon now.

Dude, you're trying to prop up a guy that leaned on his defense and his running game? Come on now. Do you even football?

Out 10 weeks…..

70 days from today (Sep. 16) would be Nov. 25

Earliest game to return: @ Dallas? (Nov. 15, probably doubtful)

Most likely: vs Vikings (in Mexico City, Nov. 22)

Latest window to return: vs Seahawks (Nov. 29)

My guess is Seahawks with the Vikings being international

Yup. This training staff f**king sucks. They better be gone next season.

From what I understand his ankle was hurt before the game or earlier in the game and the medical staff let him play anyway and made it worse.

No I won't. We have a bunch of Niner fans in our forum that are welcome to speak their mind as long as no personal attacks happen. We're supposed to be grown men here.

I'm honestly surprised and happy that the team had him get the surgery. IMO it's fair to wonder if they botched that decision with Pearsall. Sucks to lose him for 10 weeks. Same time, with Evans, Deebo, Robinson playing well. Having some young guys with speed in Watkins, Cowing & Hodge plus Kirk available as soon as week 5; I'm not super worried about the WR group yet. The most important thing RN is that Stribling gets healthy and returns with plenty of time to contribute later this season & the situation is handled correctly. Same time it will still be tough to not imagine what the offense could look like if he and Pearsall were out there.

Imagine what this team would look like if we were even remotely healthy the past 10 years.

The only time we have been fully healthy we made the Super Bowl and then lost when Greenlaw got hurt and we couldn't stop Kelce.

It haunts me more than I like to admit.
10 weeks? Unlike Tonges (WHOLE season), Strib is only partially a 49er at this point... he's getting there tho

This. It's what they should've done after the Pearsall injury.

Except that is not the standard of medical care for the injury Pearsall had.

He was open for a big play on the interception to be fair.

But keep spewing your nonsense.

Unfortunately being a rookie, I don't see him being a big factor down the stretch or playoffs (god willing). He needs the reps to be effective.

I think he was factored in. This isn't like Watkins or Cowing. Even without the reps, I think he'll be in the top 4 by season's end.
