I think it was a salary cap thing with the cowboys. Adding Q Williams made him a bit too expensive to justify

They were (and are) really up against it with dak, ceedee, pickens, bland (lol), and quinnen. Was just a numbers game.

Why other teams didn't want him is he wasn't cheap (contract wise)

That's the thing, they have so many big deals already and they need to retain Pickens at some point, so having three DTs making $20m or more isn't feasible

They added Kenny Clark too and paying three DTs that kind of money just ain't feasible, idk why no one else wanted him, maybe the Cowboys wanted to do right by him and send him to a contender, idk though but I'm glad no one else bid higher than us, we got ourselves a legit DT finally

I wouldnt say no one else wanted him...its just that the price was quite high. You had to pay his contract at around 20m/year AND give up a pick that isnt irrelevant.

Many teams have owners that dont want to convert portion of contracts to signing bonuses and take on void years.

I think many people on here dont realize that Osa is paid very close to what Buckner is being paid, what Hargrave was paid, etc. Hes making top 20 DT money in the league right now.

Trent is better than both of those. 3 and a 5 for what will be 8 years of HoF play.

Yup Trent is 1b. IMO. I think CMC was the best trade.

I think Trent is 1 and CMC is 2, its tricky because CMC couldn't function as well without Trent.
