No excuses. Until Kyle wins the big one, you have to give those guys their respect as the best right now. I also think if Kyle faces one of their Super Bowl opponents he probably has at least 1 ring too but it is what it is and results are results.

It's akin to the 80s Bengals drawing SF twice and coming up just short each time. Sometimes you're at your best at the wrong time because you match up with an all-timer.
The good news is that they give out another trophy every year, and if you can knock on the door enough you usually break through.

Whining about not having a lesser opponent? How bout just win the game? The Niners led both of those games and should have won them. They didn't.
Was Seattle a really good team with a cake walk to the ring in a year with no great teams. Yes. But that has nothing to do with what was aforementioned.
