I am unsure why old high knees doesn't have a thread. But I figure it is time to change that.

God I thought he died. Don't do that again.
So, is he getting in?

Much is made about his ability to catch passes and how he changed the game. He did all that.
The one thing that does not get enough play is his high knee action when he ran. The greatest nightmare for a DB or linebacker was to have to try to make a tackle with Roger coming right at you. You could slide by or try to time it. They just got you. If they would have had a blue tent in the 80's, he would have kept it full. If you ran into one of his knees, you were hearing birds sing until the next morning.
Rock on, Roger. You're the man.

Roger getting in is deserved fair and square. He was a great weapon of which Walsh took full advantage.
One of the great bumbles of pro NFL analysts in the early 80's was to pass off the WCO as another variant of the short pass RB-centric attack of the Fran Tarkenton era. But Walsh consistently attacked the second level with vertical ideas that maximized YAC and Roger was the poster child. Just another example of the synergy of great minds and great talent together, executing highly effective football plays.
Soft hands, precision routes, violent running. This is football? it is to Bill Walsh.
Start measuring for that gold jacket sir.

I think he gets in and if he does, I'm pretty sure I am making the trip. I saw Steve and Jerry's inductions. It's been a long time.

Seeing more and more "Unofficial" sources saying he's getting in. Long overdue. My favorite 49er RB. With Rachmaninov as the FB in the Husker Backfield, they set the standard.
Hope it's true.
Hope it's true.

His numbers aren't necessarily great enough to put him in the HOF but the way he revolutionized the position makes him worthy. The most amazing thing to me is he was considered an average back coming out of college. nebraska never used him as a receiver. He only had 16 receptions for 102 yards in 4 years. Somehow Walsh saw his ability to catch passes and the rest is history.
