Eh, better than Bradley, but not super inspiring. His defenses have never been that great. I feel like he's a better HC than DC.

I think the Browns are going to drag this out. 49ers didn't want to wait. Morris is solid. Wasn't my top choice but I knew it wouldn't be Bradley. Kyle has raved about Morris's abilities for years so we will see first hand.

As a plus for Morris, the defense wasnt great their Super Bowl season but they did step it up during that playoff run.

He's never coordinated a top 14 defense in yards allowed. There was the Super Bowl win in 2021, though. The defense wasn't highly ranked but it did have a good playoff run. He's also used to running different defenses from us (3-4).

I do at least find it intriguing that we hired him over Bradley, given the different defensive philosophy. Also is there a chance he stays DC long term since he's already had two tries at HC?

That defense was ranked 6th in epa/p. Yards/points aren't great measurements of defenses in a lot of cases. Too much effect from other phases of the game.

Happy with this hire, and hope it works out. Real chance for stability at the position.

What was the EPA/p each of his seasons as DC? And compare to Schwartz with the Browns and Bradley with the Colts?

I wonder what the deal is with Schwartz. I'm sure Shanahan really wanted him.....Are the Browns really hell bent on keeping him no matter what?

Rams were lacking talent in the back end. Not all dissimilar to now. For whatever reason Senad doesn't seem to care much about the secondary or linebackers.
