I feel like all I've experienced with the 49ers is pain, endless continual pain

I was a bit older and remember those times. Here's a secret that some of the fan here won't admit to. Yes we got our ass kicked in that 87 game. But guess what ? It was on the heels of hoisting 2 SB trophies. So as much as it hurts in the moment, you brace for it because you have something to lean on.

One of my friends is a hardcore Philly fan. Nice guy went to the game last week and invited me but I said no out of fear. Not much of a s**t talker so after the game I texted him my condolences and his response was pretty tame along the lines of good luck next week. I asked him why aren't you pissed ? His answer was simple. He said the team won it all last year and all the guys that deserved it on the roster got their rings. Yes he was mad at Hurts and the OC and Sirriani but there was no agony or restlessness in his thought process.

Winning chances everything. The 80s Niners lost a lost of heartbreakers, but they broke a lot of hearts on the process and it was all good. Even the 94 win was big because it gave you bragging rights through Young's career because you could always point to that season as the pinnacle of the Young era. Actually extended the dynasty to 1998.

What you watch now is pure agony. Some of these guys will sell you something different, but believe me if we had won in 2019 or 2023 or both that loss yesterday would have been so easy to swallow and move on from…
Surprisingly, last night's loss was one of the easiest/fastest I've ever gotten over. The team played way beyond expectations and achieved quite a lot despite being decimated by devastating injuries to All-Pro players. It's all about perspective and looking at things in context.

"Inside a quiet San Francisco 49ers locker room after the Seattle Seahawks had resoundingly ended their season, the Niners were somewhere between stunned at what had happened and proud of what they had accomplished."

Compared to the Bills heartbreak. Whom were emotional in the Locker room and today their HC questioned officiating. Which seems quite out of character for him.

In comparison to us, the Bills are shell shocked and questioning themselves in the mirror.

With all the great players we've had in the last 8 or so playoff years I am sure we have never beat a Team by this many points in the playoffs.

The 19' Packers were more successful in garbage time, lol.

Shanahan isn't that guy. He doesn't put the foot to the throat like what we witnessed yesterday.
That was just a shellacking. This organization will never forget that beat down.

Thats like getting gang raped in prison on day 1 of your sentence then stating it wasn't so bad because you had already prepared for it and expected it.
We just didn't show up. I was surprised and upset. Played them much tighter in last game of the season, that's why I'm actually upset more over this loss. You think we would have adjusted /studied film whatever but we looked utterly unprepared.

I agree. Injuries ravaged this season. I knew our only path to a SB win was @Carolina @LA vGB vNE. Once that was eliminated there was no way we could get through the gauntlet of Philly Seattle LA NE.

It's just a game. The fact that they got shellacked doesn't change anything going on in the world today which is actually worth worrying about.

Allen's best chance to win it all with no Burrow, Jackson, Mahomes and his team lost. Yea I'd be pissed too. Actually one of the reasons I am about the Niners. I know the odds were stacked against us, but Stafford was the only QB left in the postseason better than Brock.

Sounds like you're speaking from experience. Sucks for you I guess.

LOL 😆
It's been days and I can't shake the feeling of how Shanahan and Purdy couldn't score a single TD in 8 quarters of football against Seattle. Yeah you didn't have Kittle for 1 of those games but I'm not giving you the excuse.

The Rams scored 37 on this Seattle defense 3 weeks ago @ Seattle. I understand Stafford/McVay > Shanahan/Purdy but that's just abysmal football offensively. 3 FG's in 8 quarters of football. I can't get over it. Shanahan had the creativity of an egg plant in that playoff game. Sure just run CMC straight ahead like a battering ram for 2 yards, repeatedly.

3 points scored at home
6 points scored on road playoff gm

Sometimes a team just has your number. Remember we used to embarrass Green Bay in the reg season and in the playoffs. 2019 comes to mind.

Speak for yourself. Getting destroyed by your arguably most hated rival while they're on their way to hoisting a trophy in our house is a new low for this franchise
