Still can't believe this was the worst playoff loss of my lifetime. I've heard of 1987 playoff loss to the Giants as being the worst ever. But I was on 2 years old then.
I feel like all I've experienced with the 49ers is pain, endless continual pain

WAY ???
.... uhmmmm... I don't think so Forty... better, maybe.. but not WAY.. NO WAY..
Better Stadium and LOUDER Fans = GIVEN
Coaches = Shanny is the better HC, he just WON'T win one here.. the only time he wins one is when he gets a GM and Shanny got no voice
Players = Slightly to Seattle

Niners capitalized on an easy schedule. They beat the teams they were supposed to beat. Rams lost some games stupidly. Seahawks took a bit of time to gel. They played well at better starting midseason.
i will say the niners had 5 impressive wins.
@seattle
@cleveland
@bears
@philly
vs rams

I've known and expected this for the past couple of weeks and I've been okay. I seem to be really angry today out of no where.
I am so pissed off that most likely Seattle or Rams most likely going to raise the trophy in our house. Raise the Lombardi in our house. I think i would have preferred the Eagles over our two arch enemies but here we are.
Damn, Seattle D. I don't think at our best we looked that good.

That game was a terrible loss because we were the better team and a double digit favorite. It was shocking in that sense.
We aren't a better team than Seattle and were the largest underdog of the weekend, easily. It's not at all surprising that we got beat handily. Doesn't make it any more fun to watch of course, and it was a trainwreck of a performance in every phase.

it was NOT to the Giants.. it was to Wade Wilson and the Vikings with Anthony Carter showing HOW GOOD HE CAN REALLY BE.

I didn't notice he mentioned the Giants and mixed up years, but I was referencing the Minnesota game from 87. We were small underdogs when we were crushed against the Giants in 86.

That game was also a huge reason, in addition to Montana's back injury, why Walsh made the trade for Young.

If you don't win a Super Bowl, you are not deserving of HOF. Period. If a player like Roger Craig can't get in with three rings, what makes you think any of the guys you listed are worthy? Get real.

I was a bit older and remember those times. Here's a secret that some of the fan here won't admit to. Yes we got our ass kicked in that 87 game. But guess what ? It was on the heels of hoisting 2 SB trophies. So as much as it hurts in the moment, you brace for it because you have something to lean on.
One of my friends is a hardcore Philly fan. Nice guy went to the game last week and invited me but I said no out of fear. Not much of a s**t talker so after the game I texted him my condolences and his response was pretty tame along the lines of good luck next week. I asked him why aren't you pissed ? His answer was simple. He said the team won it all last year and all the guys that deserved it on the roster got their rings. Yes he was mad at Hurts and the OC and Sirriani but there was no agony or restlessness in his thought process.
Winning chances everything. The 80s Niners lost a lost of heartbreakers, but they broke a lot of hearts on the process and it was all good. Even the 94 win was big because it gave you bragging rights through Young's career because you could always point to that season as the pinnacle of the Young era. Actually extended the dynasty to 1998.
What you watch now is pure agony. Some of these guys will sell you something different, but believe me if we had won in 2019 or 2023 or both that loss yesterday would have been so easy to swallow and move on from…
