Trade Deadline - Tues. Nov 4th

(A primary topic with all the injuries on defense, and fragile receiver group.)

The latest article about trading for Max Crosby - projecting two 1st, a 4th, 5th, and Juan.
Max is 28, a little banged up now, and signed through 2029 for 91MM guaranteed. So he wouldn't be a 1 year rental.

I totally get the draft pick price for this caliber of player.
My concern:
1. Next draft a LT has to be a priority (no room to pursue one in free agency) - and foregoing LT and OL help 2 years in a row is a non-starter for me. Heck, if Aiyuk doesn't return to form, we may even need to be drafting another receiver high.
2. Could we even absorb him under the cap? Or would be be further cutting other talent?

Raiders aren't trading Crosby and we aren't spending that much for him.

HOW much will offer if the Raiders are willing to listen?

Nothing we should be paying IMO. Let's not forget they wouldn't take our offer for Mack which was better than what Chicago gave them.
1. Trey Hendrickson, Edge, Cincinnati Bengals
6. Mark Andrews, TE, Baltimore Ravens
7. Chris Olave, WR, New Orleans Saints
8. Jaelan Phillips, Edge, Miami Dolphins
11. Logan Wilson, LB, Cincinnati Bengals
13. Arden Key, Edge, Tennessee Titans
18. Kingsley Enagbare, Edge, Green Bay Packers
24. Christian Harris, LB, Houston Texans

I still say we need to trade for the below players to help us NOW and in the future.. and these two especially can be a deal that can be done.

WR - Waddle
TE - Mayer
Along with no way is Crosby coming. Raiders and he say no but also no to Trey. I am not sure why folks think that is an option when he has no years left on contract next year and we would not give what it takes. I see 9ers making a move on a mid range plus player with more than one year on contract. To help but not dominate future cap and picks.

#1 would be great but I think we're more likely to go an Charles Omenihu type of trade - under the radar, scheme fit who won't cost a ton but could give us enough of a boost.

I saw a Tyree Wilson mention and I kind of like that one. I don't think it would take a ton to get him and he could be an under the radar Raiders rebound type.

Raiders would never let us get Crosby but Wilson may not be a guy they hold hostage.
I think realistically it's gonna be Jermaine Johnson and or one of the Miami guys.

I can see a situation where they get Key and Johnson.

they aren't gonna get Maxx or Hendrickson, I think we can move on from that stuff.

We wouldn't even pay our own free agents from last year, no way we are paying for another DE after drafting one in the 1st round and paying Bosa. Purse strings are being held tight this season, have we forgot about the $ plan?

Speculation has been a 1st and a 3rd this year and a 4th and a pick swap next year, plus JJ. No way such a deal happens.

Crosby is the Fred Warner of that team - the heart and soul and the best player on the team. It would devastate the locker room to lose Crosby while the team is struggling. Also, Pete Carroll is a defensive guy who sees the value in Crosby. Carroll is 74 years old. He isn't likely to kick the rebuilding project two more years down the road.

Arden Key jumps out on that list. He has been here before and we know what we are getting. His cap is $9,2 million this year. 2026-7 are void years. Parage will have to do some of his magic but it is workable.
