lol if there is any situation a new young kicker can hope for, it's this one. Moody might be the most hated niner in years. not only was he hated, he was terrible. which really sucks cause I thought he would be awesome but it is what it is.

I met a random girl one night and I said I was a 49ers fan (within the conversation) and she straight up said " I effin hate Moody.". lmaoo! this is a true story, random girl just told me she hated jake moody. This was before the season.

Only god knows how livid she was on Sunday.
How far can he kick it? Is he only good from 40 yards and in?

known for accuracy than leg. if we look at 50+ field goals he's 11/14. some of these guys like cam little, years ago tucker, boswell on week 1, they can hit 60+. he's not known for that style of booming kick. but that's not a common situation either.

At this point I'm willing to take what I can get after moody missed a f**king 25 yarder

I would just be happy to not have my butt clinch when the Kicker comes out to kick a 20 yarder.
according to Kreug, Piniero is the third most accurate kicker in NFL history, behind Tucker and Butker, with an 88% career rate. not bad

I mean.... The grass isn't always greener but when the last guy was dirt, I think it's safe to assume.

Haha underrated post. Virtually impossible for this to be a step in the wrong direction.

See ya, Moody.

Too good to be true. Why is he available?

That's a great question. Hopefully some on here can answer. I checked wikipedia too, He is, in fact, the 3rd most accurate kicker in nfl history, lol (with at least 100 attempts)

Thats what I want to know. his numbers look good, but why is he available?

I saw another poster say that he's missed a few game winners, but could that be the reason why he's jobless?

He was with the Panthers. Everyone gets fired on an emotional whim over there.

Right now big long kicks are in fashion and he's not that guy.

On FG's his worst season is only a percent under Moody's best. Clear upgrade so all positive from me until he misses a game winner.

Having a kicker with not a super strong leg works perfect with the new kickoff rules. They can kick it as hard as they want and not have to worry about it going into the endzone.

because he's a kicker. they get recycled and released and re-signed all the time.

I looked at other most accurate kickers on that list. Robbie is #9 and Mike "Idiot Kicker" Vanderjagt is #8
Younghoe Koo who is now getting Jake Moody like treatment in ATL is #12 all time

Hopefully he's got tough skin because he's coming to a fanbase that has been abused by the previous kicker. I think I'll l still be on edge about Piniero until he gives me that warm fuzzy feeling in my giblets. Theres a reason he was on the streets and not an active roster
