Of course, it's not the same, just eery similarities.

Cool you were there btw

I'm so confused why we haven't used Tonges before this, at least in the passing game. he made 3 catches on that final drive and 2 of them were excellent catches. The second one was a huge 3rd down conversion and really tough catch for a rarely used TE. Then that touchdown one was very athletic, his ball hawking there was super impressive.

Idk but I think he is gunna get more touches after this. Super impressed, guy seems very smart as well. #88 jersey soon?
No one has talked about it (obviously) but his catch on 2nd and 8, falling down and having presence to scoot past the 1st before touched was huge. If it's 3rd and 1 you never know what happens

Just like I like it

Keep Seattle cryin'!

This is the absolute best. I honestly can't remember when we lost against Seattle last. Brock "Seahawk Slayer" Purdy.

he went to Cal, so he has to be a smart dude. or most likley is, I should say. lol maybe he can be the #2 TE we've been needing for kittle. apparently he needs to improve his blocking from what i've read but i have no idea. he seemed awesome out there.
As far as "Catch" comparisons, it was similar in great timing and physical effort by the receiver.
Also similar, neither game was over and it took a strip sack and recovery to seal both victories.

I see a lot of great catches at the end of games. Accept it for what it was and don't try to make it something epoch that will go down in 49er lore. Tonges should see a lot more actionnow with Kittle out again for several weeks. Tonges is a good receiver but he can't block ike Kittle so the pass pro and the running game may suffer.
Does he make Kittle expendable?
