any one else get that "he is not suppose to be here" Brock Purdy-ish vibe when Tonges is doing post game interviews....

I have a ton of love for the old Tom Moore two TE stuff....it would be awesome to see the 49ers recycle a bit of that and run two TE stuff with Tonges and Kittle.

We got a tiny bit of that stuff way back when the 49ers have Walker as TE2.... The minute you can put two TE threats on the field at the same time you get to cover that 7 on the line WITHOUT a WR. That was the secret sauce for Tom Moore. You get the preferred blocking rules with that 7th guy inside the block (ie you dont get called for blocking in the back outside of the box....aka crack back block), and both your WRs turn into defacto Flankers and get free access to motion and the 3 yard cushion to get off the line.

This could be such a win if Tonges is legit....

my vibe is 85 can do it all, but when he checks out, they seem to like farrell as a inline blocker and i was reading about tonges being a WR in a TE body so he's more of a pass catcher. so maybe farrell on run downs and tonges on pass downs, with us down so many WRs we seem to like tonges more than skyy moore or other options. you need to be really a ways down the depth chart for him to see the field. special moment game winner in an NFL game dude hadn't even caught a pass i had no idea who he was i thought Willis was TE3 tbh.
