Looks like we have reached a point in the NFL that the effort from the young players is equal to or greater than the effort from the "stars" that got their bag.

Every year is different but I'm looking forward to seeing the team come together about mid season when they should have all the players back from injuries. If they can get to that point and not have any major injuries I believe they will make the playoffs and anything is possible. It would be great if they could get to the SB in their home stadium. Just trying to be optimistic
I am looking forward to seeing the rookies in action in the preseason games.Go Niners

Just going by history, we either miss the playoffs or make it atleast the NFC Championship game. I'm leaning towards the NFC champ game.

Not expecting more than a better season than last and signs of breakouts from the new blood. Looking for improvements from the D and hopefully something new from our offense. a .500 year with signs of better things to come will be a win for me. Anything else will be a bonus. Regression or a repeat of last year will be a huge problem and could be the impetus for a full on rebuild that starts with changes at the top. I just have an uneasy feeling. Maybe that's just a hangover from last year.

At this point I feel like a million bucks. We have a lot of reason to be optimistic, and we have a lot of reason to be patient. The bill came due for poor drafting and poor personnel decisions between 2020 and 2023 resulting in the ugly 2024 season and we needed a pallet cleanser. The 2025 offseason has been that for us. The vibes are good. The 49ers are headed in the right direction with a good draft class in '24 and possibly a great one in '25. As we will be reliant upon a lot of rookies and young players it requires us to be patient. God knows Jed is a lot more patient than some posters. Thank goodness for that.

Minimum expectations above .500 and a playoff berth. Anything short of that, outside of some major injuries, it would be a a failure of a season.

Vegas is on point with 10.5 over/under wins.
That's exactly what I expect. 12 wouldn't surprise me more than under 10 would.
Saleh's return is the biggest factor and most effectual key improvement. Not going to lie though, the surprise delayed announcement of Mustapha's ACL is a huge hit to this unit. I felt fine with him and, likely, Brown back there. But now he's out, and Renardo Green is out with a hammy during a key training camp. Secondary could be realllly dicey. Line and LB will have to compensate and I think they will with Saleh back.
CMC; Kittle; Purdy; Williams; Jennings...that alone makes me feel ok. If Pearsall (not counting on it) can stay healthy and take a big leap forward as a solid #2 or slot guy...fantastic. Anyway you slice it WR, is THIN and that makes me just as uneasy as I am about the secondary. Guerendo and the rookie need to be ready to offset CMC workload.
Kicker be another pivotal factor. I don't care what anyone says and I know he was rushed back last season and that's on coaching, but Moody is a broken kicker. You can hear it, see it, and feel it when he speaks. Changing his lifelong kicking approach from 3 to 2 steps as a 3rd year pro? Desperation is a stinky cologne. Greg Joseph ain't the answer either but I will trust anyone over Moody. Kid could shake it but it won't be in SF. Watch him dominate with Harbs in LA.
I'm just excited for this year. Last year was as lost as 2020; felt like it never really even started...just a strange season even more so than a bad one.
Countdown is on. I expect a return to the playoffs at minimum.

"Last year, who had the Washington Commanders as an NFC Championship team? Nobody," Williams told Tim Kawakami. "Who had the Minnesota Vikings as a team to go [14-3]? Who had that? Nobody. So, I feel like we're in that same position. Everybody will look and say, 'Oh, you lost this All-Pro, you lost that All-Pro. You don't have this person. This guy's getting older,' this and that. But, in my opinion, we're in the same boat.
"We have all the talent, but everybody's gonna kind of bat an eye at us because we don't have [LB Dre] Greenlaw. [WR] Deebo [Samuel] isn't with us anymore. I am 37. It's a lot of stuff that people are going to drag at and say, 'Oh, I don't think this can be the same team.' But honestly, that's how you want it, right?"
After years of being the hunted, Williams embraces an underdog mentality for 2025, believing the 49ers are in a position to surprise opponents and silence critics.
"The fact that everybody's kind of sleeping on us, the fact that we finished last in our division, so it gives you a favorable schedule going forward, I think all of that plays into our hands," Williams added.
Changed my vote to 12 wins now

It's the defense that concerns me, outside Warner, Bosa, and Lenoir literally everyone is a question mark going into the season

Biggest concerns: Wr depth/experience - Secondary is unproven - offensive can they actually get some push this year?
The defense should be improved this season. The offense will be interesting to watch them grow and develop. I'm thinking 10 wins, but wouldn't be shocked if we missed that mark 🤷🏾♂?
